• 2 sheets Arches or other brand you like 22" x 30", cold press or hot press, or Strathmore Aquarius • water mist spray bottle • large rectangular or hexagonal (in cross section) graphite stick • small bottle of ink (sumi, Higgins, walnut, whatever you like) • 4 Caran d'Ache watercolor crayons (white, Prussian blue and 2 colors you like) • piece of clear or white wax candle • 1 tube of white watercolor gouache • small sponge • reference containing human figures (Can be your own photos or images torn out of magazines or newspapers. Not sure what's good? Fine. Bring something. We'll talk about what's most useful and analyze what YOU are |
